wedding venue food comparison

We're early to planning but almost all the Saturdays in Spring 2027 are booked out so we want to secure the date soon. We haven't been guests at the venues we're considering, and I hate how we can't try the food before booking! I was hoping to hear everyone's experiences with a few venues, as guests or the couples.
