Cutchogue runs along Route 25 between Mattituck and Southold, and it's the stretch where the farm stands stack closest together. It claims the sunniest microclimate on Long Island. The Town of Southold opted out of dispensaries, so the licensed stop happens in Riverhead on the way in. The back-road scale keeps it quieter than the main villages, which is why weekenders who've done the fork a few times default here for a reset.
