Riverhead

Gateway to the North Fork, the retail-corridor base before the farmland begins.

Riverhead sits at the pivot point where the Long Island Expressway ends and the North Fork opens up. It does the commercial-hub job for the fork, so the licensed dispensary footprint tends to concentrate here before the landscape turns to farmland. Adults 21+ heading east treat it as the last licensed stop; verify licensed status via the OCM QR code at cannabis.ny.gov. The pace is year-round rather than seasonal, which keeps the retail steady when the fork empties out in winter.
